This Surge Peak Recording Terminal is an intelligent monitoring instrument for SPDs. It collects SPD operating status, protection switch on/off status, and lightning strike information (count, peak value, polarity, time), records alarm data, and can form an intelligent lightning protection system with monitoring software and power environment RTU. Featuring rail-mounted design, small size for easy integration, plug-in terminals for convenient installation, and strong anti-interference ability.

  • Surge Peak Recording Terminal

1. High-Precision Surge Collection:Equipped with a micro Rogowski coil, it has a surge collection range of 0.5~100kA and a resolution of 0.1kA. It can identify and record up to 10 consecutive lightning pulses (≥40ms interval) and count times by 20/40/60/80/100kA segments, capturing lightning details accurately for SPD maintenance.

2. Flexible Communication Modes:Comes with a standard RS485 interface (MODBUS RTU protocol, baud rate 1200~19200bps optional) and supports Ethernet, Lora, 4G expansion. The RS232 interface is default for grounding grid monitoring and can be customized to collect data from other serial devices, adapting to different transmission scenarios.

3. Strong Anti-Interference & Safety Design:The serial port has a built-in 4000V lightning protection circuit, and the switch input uses photoelectric isolation to avoid surge and electromagnetic interference. It supports 9~28VDC wide-voltage input with reverse connection protection, ensuring stable operation in complex electrical environments.

4. Easy Integration & Installation:Adopts standard 35mm DIN rail mounting, which can be directly integrated into lightning protection boxes and power distribution cabinets without changing the original layout. All interfaces are plug-in terminals and screw-on connectors for quick installation and maintenance, reducing on-site construction costs.

5. Intelligent SPD Life Early Warning:Based on algorithms of lightning count, surge peak, energy, and device online time, it realizes SPD life early warning, preventing protected equipment from lightning risks due to SPD failure and reducing system fault probability.

1. Railway/Rail Transit Systems:Installed in power distribution boxes and signal cabinets along the line, it monitors SPD failure, air switch tripping status, and lightning data. It prevents signal equipment damage from lightning, ensures train communication and operation safety, and solves the problem of insufficient real-time performance of manual inspection.

2. Wind Farm Operation & Maintenance:Integrated into wind turbine lightning protection cabinets, it records surge peaks, polarity, and SPD life status, and uploads data to the monitoring platform remotely. It warns of SPD failure in advance, reduces wind turbine downtime caused by lightning, and lowers maintenance costs.

3. Highway Electromechanical Systems:Deployed in power distribution cabinets of toll stations and service areas, it monitors the operating status of lightning protection equipment. It alarms in time when surges or SPD faults occur, ensuring stable operation of toll systems and surveillance cameras, and avoiding traffic data interruption.

4. Civil Aviation Infrastructure:Installed in lightning protection boxes of airport terminals and navigation stations, it accurately collects lightning information and synchronizes it to the power environment monitoring system. It ensures navigation equipment and communication systems are not interfered by lightning, guaranteeing flight take-off and landing safety.
