From May 27 to 30, a delegation from Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries (KPI)—comprising leaders from the Automation Department, IT Department, and Monitoring Center—along with their key local channel partner, Aristone, visited SUPCON Technology’s headquarters in Hangzhou for in-depth technical exchanges and training. The two parties discussed the optimization of KPI’s existing systems and the upgrade to intelligent manufacturing. SUPCON demonstrated its comprehensive solution capabilities, spanning from control systems to digital factories. After touring the smart exhibition hall, KPI representatives acknowledged that SUPCON’s capabilities are now on par with top international brands and expressed interest in involving SUPCON in more of their future automation project bids.

Located in Atyrau, western Kazakhstan, KPI is the country’s first large-scale petrochemical complex. Its key projects include a 500,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit for propylene production, a polypropylene (PP) unit, and supporting utility facilities, all constructed under the EPC contract of China National Chemical Engineering Group’s Tianchen subsidiary. In 2019, SUPCON successfully secured the contract for the plant-wide MES and LIMS systems, completing delivery in 2022. Throughout the project, both parties leveraged the SupOS industrial operating system to continuously optimize production management, developing multiple cost-saving and efficiency-boosting digital solutions that set a benchmark for intelligent transformation in Kazakhstan’s petrochemical industry.
Aristone is a Kazakhstan-based channel agent specializing in the oil, gas, and chemical sectors, serving leading local enterprises such as AGP, the Shymkent Refinery, and Caspian Bitumen. SUPCON’s collaboration with Aristone began in 2018 and deepened in 2023 with the establishment of SUPCON’s Kazakhstan subsidiary, accelerating their joint expansion into the Central Asian market under a "technology + channel" partnership model. Additionally, as a core local agent for Chinese companies like Huawei and Dahua in Kazakhstan, Aristone provides crucial localization support for SUPCON.
With KPI’s plans for facility expansion and capacity increases underway, SUPCON will play an integral role in project design and implementation, delivering end-to-end automation, digitalization, and intelligent solutions. Moving forward, SUPCON will continue to strengthen strategic cooperation with EPC partners and channel agents, enhancing customer production and operational efficiency through full-process intelligent solutions. This effort will further drive Kazakhstan’s industrial digital transformation and create sustainable value for clients along the Belt and Road initiative.
